Class Action Against London Drugs
Farris LLP has commenced a proposed class action on behalf of current and former employees of London Drugs and some of its affiliates whose personal information was allegedly compromised in the April 2024 cybersecurity incident.

According to London Drugs, on April 28, 2024, London Drugs discovered that it was the victim of a criminal cybersecurity incident. During the incident, data from London Drugs' corporate environment was exposed, including certain files from its finance and human resource departments, which in some cases included employee information.
After the incident, London Drugs circulated letters to affected individuals. The letters identified data categories that were likely impacted, including, for example, full names, postal addresses, social insurance numbers, and payroll information.
On May 23, 2024, as reported by Global News, London Drugs confirmed that files stolen during the April 2024 cyberattack had been leaked onto the dark web.
This proposed class action seeks compensation from London Drugs on behalf of current and former employees whose personal information was allegedly exfiltrated and publicly released in breach of their privacy rights.
The proposed class action is at an early stage. None of the allegations have been proven or tested in court.
